Worship

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit.  Jeremiah 17.7,8 (ESV)

Worship with us Sundays at 10:50 am. and 6 pm.

Scripture based worship is the surest delight of God’s people as it has been and will be throughout all ages. Nowhere else are we treated to eternal delights vividly framed by the reality of God’s eternal purposes in Jesus Christ. Hebrews 12.22 – 24 provides the actual context of true worship by taking us directly beyond the limits of feeble sense into “the heavenly Mt. Zion and to the city of the living God.”  There the ongoing assembly of believers with sinless expressions of praise and adoration – angels and redeemed alike, worship together with the church on earth before the enthroned Lord of Glory!  “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts; the whole earth if full of his glory (Isaiah 6)!

And so at Grace, we come to worship each Lord’s Day at 10:50 am.  We urge all to join us in this duty and delight wherever they are able to gather with a congregation of redeemed believers in the Lord Jesus Christ!  We would love to have you join us in Byram as we heed, sing, pray and hear the word of God and worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

“The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.  God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”  John 4.23,24 (ESV)
